A bit about us…

Hailing from Whakatane, Peta was absolutely spoilt to have such an incredible playground for both herself and the horses that came into her life. Privileged to have her first pony provided by her parents, but equally humbled enough at the fact that said pony was green broke, had a few tricks up it’s sleeve, and the reality of the logistical nightmare that was getting your saddle to your horse on a bike quickly set in. Luckily, kids bounce and gravel doesn’t hurt too much through leather boots! Regardless of the few scrapes, dings and questionable ways to fall off- She felt like the luckiest kid in the world, and that feeling never left.

Located in Feilding, we proudly serve horse owners in Palmerston North, Ashhurst, Marton, surrounding areas and beyond.
My knowledge, patience, and understanding IS my ‘experience’. I live and breathe further development of all types of horses, all day, everyday. My techniques are guided and have developed from my knowledge of biomechanics, natural horsemanship, and understanding the horse as a whole. With a knack for knowing when something is physically and mentally not right, your horses training and education is tailored to their specific needs, and further, we have the professionals around us to get further care and treatment where training is not the appropriate solution.
We offer a structured, ethical approach to starting horses under saddle, giving them confidence, softness, and responsiveness from the very beginning.
Understanding the horse’s movement allows us to train with balance, soundness, and long-term physical wellness in mind.
Note that this is limited to those local to us and pricing begins at $75 + mileage and GST.
With years of experience handling green horses, sales prospects, and complex cases, we adapt every program to suit your horse’s individual temperament and learning style.
